WHY THE GOSPEL STEPS?

WHY THE GOSPEL STEPS

STEP-4

THE HUMAN CONDITION

Have you ever considered the human condition? How it is that life can be so magnificent at times and then so devastating at others? How is it that people, including you and me, can be so good, loving and kind and yet so mean, horrible and hurtful? Why is there so much pain and suffering in the world and is there a solution?

Are you just a “DNA replicator clinging to an insignificant rock hurtling through a meaningless universe toward eternal extinction” as famed atheist and Oxford Professor, Richard Dawkins would have us believe. If that is true then there is no hope, life is meaningless and there is no ultimate solution. Our existence is about mere survival with a dash of happiness if we are lucky enough to find it.

Or are you “a never-ceasing spiritual being with an eternal destiny in God’s great universe”, as the brilliant Philosopher and Theologian, Dallas Willard persuaded? Then life has meaning, you have value and there is the promise of a better future.

If this is true, then there is hope for a grand solution. This is the good news we are here to make known.

WHO HAS THE SOLUTION?

A person in history who lived a life that modelled human flourishing during painful suffering, is the person of Jesus Christ. What he taught and how he lived pointed to a hope for this lifetime and the next. He was no ordinary person. As crazy as it may sound, he is God who entered history and his creation to become one of us.

The good news he declared is what gospel steps is all about. These steps explain what the Bible makes clear, as a reliable source that’s given meaning and hope to countless souls across the globe, over millenniums. If true, it has the power to do the same for you.

THE STEPS

To simplify and clarify the wondrous, life changing message Jesus shared and demonstrated, we have 3 steps:

These three steps explain why we find ourselves in the condition we do and offers a very reliable way to thrive and flourish in this life and the next.

Let’s consider what the Bible has to say and what it promises for us.
